Oktoberfest in Princeton

Oktoberfest is coming to Bureau County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 28.  Meals are $10 and include pork schnitzel, bratwurst or a pork chop, German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut and spaetzle with gravy, and desserts such as strudel, apple cake and German chocolate cake.  Four kinds of beer – Beck’s Oktoberfest, Bent River Uncommon Stout and Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat – wine, pop and coffee will be served.  Terry Bredenberg will play traditional German tunes and American favorites on an accordion during dinner, from 4 to 7 p.m.  Die Musikmeisters, a band that sings in German and English, will play from 6 to 10 p.m.  Admission is $5 and doors open at 4 p.m.
