The Nature Conservancy’s Nachusa Grasslands Preserve's annual Autumn on the Prairie festival will be on Saturday, September 21, at the Nachusa Grasslands. Activities include more than 25 guided tours of restored native prairie and savannas, educational exhibits, butterfly hikes, self-guided prairie plant exploration hikes, and rides through the prairie in a horse-drawn wagon. There also will be live music, concessions, local artists at work, a children's activity tent, and a live raptor display. The event is free. Held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
