Cops and Bobbers Youth Fishing Day

The Dixon Police Department's seventh annual Cops and Bobbers youth fishing dayfor children 16 and younger will be held on Saturday, August 31 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Lowell Park. The event is free, but anglers are asked to bring their own gear. Kids must be registered before fishing, and an adult must be present while they fish.

The categories are birth to 7 and 8 to 15 years. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in each category, and one prize will be awarded for the most fish caught. Winners must be present. Snacks, drinks and some bait will be provided.
