The Sterling Public Library's 11th annual Storytelling Festival will be held at Woodlawn Arts Academy and the library on Friday and Saturday, August 30 and 31. Friday's storytelling, from 8 to 10 p.m., is for a mature audience. Admission is $7. It follows an art show and reception from 6 to 7:45 p.m. On Saturday stories for all ages will be told from noon to 4 p.m., and stories from Girl Scouts, Brownies and Daisies will be told from 4 to 4:30 p.m. The String-A-Longs dulcimer band will perform, and concessions will be available. Tales in the Dark will be told from 7 to 9 p.m., when scary and not-so-scary stories will be told in Woodlawn's performance center. Stories in Spanish will be told from 7 to 8 p.m. at the library.
Admission Saturday is by donation.
