Guy Fraker, author of "Lincoln's Ladder to the Presidency: The Eighth Judicial Circuit" will do a presentation on and sign copies of his book at Nachusa Grasslands on Saturday, July 13. It's the first book ever written about Lincoln and the central Illinois Eighth Judicial Circuit, where he spent almost half of his professional life, said Fraker, an attorney from Bloomington, a Lincoln scholar and a conservationist who wrote much of the book at the grasslands. A walk in the prairie will follow. Starts at 1:30 p.m.
Books on First in Dixon will provide copies for sale. Go to nachusagrasslands.org for more information. The Nachusa Grasslands is at 8772 S. Lowden Road in Franklin Grove.
