Own a Garcia

On Saturday, June 22, well-known local artist Beverly Garcia will be selling some of her works from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at her home and studio, at Broad and Green streets in Grand Detour. Proceeds benefit Sinnissippi Foundation, which supports Sinnissippi Centers mental health and wellness programs.

Garcia, a member of The Next Picture Show in Dixon, also has a sculpture garden that visitors can enjoy, along with the more than 200 original paintings, prices of which start at about $100. Light refreshments will be served.  Local authors Bob and Colleen Logsdon also have published two books on Garcia, so examples of her work can be found at www.blurb.com by searching for Logsdon, then clicking on the book cover and leafing through the e-book. Copies of the books also will be available at the sale.

Call the foundation, 815-284-9380, or Garcia, 815-652-6847, for more information on the sale.
