The Town and Country Days Festival is set for Thursday, June 13, through Sunday, June 16, in downtown Polo. There will be fireworks, a carnival, beer garden, live music, a craft show, a parade and a pig scramble and loads of other free entertainment.
The fun begins Thursday night with the ever-popular fireworks display at the Polo High School parking lot. Friday is Kid’s Day. Noyz Boys and Country Line Live band perform Friday night, and radio hosts Dwyer & Michaels entertain the crowd Saturday. The grand parade at 12:30 p.m., followed by the pig scramble at 3 p.m., are Sunday's highlights.
The carnival ride Mega Pass is on sale now; it's $40 and good for all rides at any time. Passes are available at First State Bank Shannon/Polo, Knie Appliance, and Burkhardt’s Gas, until noon June 13. After that, carnival armbands are $20, and are good for noon to 5 p.m. Friday or Sunday only.
