The new Sterling Street Faire will be open Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15, in the 300 block of West Third Street. 

People can buy, sell or trade anything except firearms, fireworks, animals or other commodities prohibited by law or anything that violates trademark, trade name or copyright laws. No garden produce will be sold on Saturdays, when the nearby Twin City Farmers Market is open.  Hours are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, with vendor setup beginning at 7 a.m.; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, with setup beginning at 9 a.m.  Admission for shoppers is free.

The cost for for-profit vendors is $25 for both days, $15 for one. Nonprofits may sell free of charge.  Call 815-499-5079 or find Sterling Street Faire on Facebook for more information.

This street faire will be held on the second and fourth weekends of the month.  Upcoming dates are September 28-28, and Oct. 12-13.
