This Friday, November 30, is the annual Dixon Christmas Walk. Enjoy festive activities sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Santa will arrive at KSB Hospital at 6pm for a tree lighting ceremony. There will be specials and give-aways at many of the downtown stores, horse-and-wagon rides, and a chance to win cash and prizes in the Great Snowball Drop at 7 p.m. at First and Ottawa.
More than 3,000 "snowballs" containing prizes ranging from a $500 shopping spree to gift certificates to Dixon businesses will rain from the sky, with a limit of three snowballs per person. New this year: Get your picture taken with Santa's reindeer at First Street and Hennepin Avenue. There also will be Community Christmas Caroling at 8 p.m. at the corner of First and Hennepin.
All night long 50/50 raffle tickets will be available at several downtown businesses and at the Raffle Tent outside of Books on First. The drawing is at 9 p.m. Last year's winner took home nearly $3,500.
